Burmese Village dinners are a doorway into the world of rich and vibrant food culture that exists right under our unsuspecting foodie noses.
Attendees will delight in an authentic 5 course Burmese feast and enjoy traditional dance, food demos and other cultural activities between courses. Denver’s growing refugee community have essential contributions to make, inspiring voices to be heard, and delicious cuisines to be shared. Burmese Village dinners are a way to celebrate diversity by opening our palettes, and our minds, to new cultures.
Event proceeds go towards supporting culturally empowering nutrition classes that Zin Zin and Marin co-teach for the Denver/Aurora refugee community. Zin Zin is an exceptionally talented Burmese woman who is determined to open the first Burmese restaurant in Denver. Burmese Village dinners aim to encourage entrepreneurship among talented and motivated refugees like her.
